** TOP QUALITY PROFESSIONAL HEAVY DUTY PIEZOS! **
These are really nice! Very much like my last batch, which were excellent. These are also HEAVY DUTY.... 27mm (just over 1") but not so big that they create a problem making triggers. In fact they are a perfect size!
I like them so I'm not hitting directly on top of them... so they last longer. So this size is just right.
Also these are stiffer..... slightly thicker like my last ones but still just as sensitive. Again makes for a more durable trigger. Especially when it comes to the road crew throwing stuff around during setup and teardown.
Also these wires are 4" long which is cool... shorter than my last ones but not and issue!
Now these have smaller/thinner wires than my last ones, but as it turns out, these are better for a couple of reasons.....
The bigger wires on the last piezos were stiff which could cause a problem if you knocked the wire by accident....it could cause the solder joint to pop off of the piezo. This was rare... but with these new piezos, the wire is nice and flexible and it allows the wire to be under something without bothering the surface of the trigger/drum. And the solder joint (done at the factory) is small and strong! And this is important for strength where the wire meets the piezo.
THE BEST PART about these new Piezos is the factory put a drop of silicon on top of each solder joint and just where the wire meets the piezo. This is EXCELLENT! It makes it VERY hard to pull the wire off of the piezo or pop the solder joint off. I love this little upgrade!!
Also, the wires are pre-stripped and silver soldered for easy use. Just slide on a piece of shrink tubing and attach your plug or jack (not included), to match your module or midi converter. That's it!
I'm very happy with these. I think these are the best yet! And a nice upgrade in quality.
Also there is a square of double sided foam tape that comes with the piezo to attach to your trigger/drum.
Note....These piezos are not Roland products but can be used as a replacement.

I've made many drum and cymbal triggers with these and they are really nice. All you need to do is add a plug that matches your module or midi trigger converter (Usually a 1/4" mono phono plug)
Buy extras! Once you start making triggers you will want to make more. It's very simple and works great!
