Hello from Germany! You are bidding on a fine antique parlor guitar, handmade, probably in Germany. There is no label or date, I suppose made around 1900 to 1920. An interesting instrument in good condition, cleaned, needs one repair (neck), but playable in this condition, too ! Beautiful (maybe all solid) wood, top is fine spruce, sides and back is beautiful dark coloured maple. Superb wood! The tuners (with bone knobs) work well, nice head, rosewood fingerboard with 18 frets (good condition, show slight signs of use), 3 mother-of-pearl markers at the fretboard, beautiful original bridge (maybe ebony) and bridge pins. The neck is straight to the 12th fret, there is a bow from 12th fret to the 17th, so the action is very low. The guitar is playable, but the neck should be repaired (action 12th fret 1.5 to 3mm). Older steel strings, clear sound with good resonance. An instrument for Jazz, Blues etc. I think nylon also should be an option. GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION - This parlor guitar was well played. Damages: some repaired hairline cracks at the top and the back, small dings and dongs. See my pics! Hier eine sehr schöne antike Gitarre in kleinerer Parlor-Form, handgebaut wahrscheinlich in Deutschland, ohne Label sagt oder Jahreszahl, schätzungsweise um 1900 bis 1920. Ordentlicher Zustand und spielbar, wenn auch der Hals gerichtet werden sollte (gerader Hals, kippt aber vom 12.Bund zur Decke hin nach unten, die Mechanik läuft gut, Palisandergriffbrett mit 18 Bundstäben, schöner originaler Steg, vielleicht Ebenholz, Saitenhöhe 12. Bund 1,5 bis 3mm). Feine Hölzer (massive Fichte, und schöner Ahorn, dunkel gebeizt). Dieses Instrument wurde sicher sehr oft und intensiv gespielt. Ältere Stahlsaiten, klarer Klang, fein mit guter Resonanz, aber auch Nylon wäre eine Option. Mensur 620mm, Gesamtlänge 935mm. Schäden: einige reparierte Haarrisse auf der Decke und im Boden, leichte Kratzer und Gebrauchsspuren. Alles in allem ein hochinteressantes altes Stück zum Spielen oder Sammeln!
