1950's Slingerland 16" parade snare drum blk n brass
| Seller: jskogie ( 46 ) End Time: 2008-07-08 21:05:49 GMT Bids: 4 Current Price: $9.15 Location: Rockford, Illinois Time Left: 0 Seconds | | | For More Details: Click here | | COLLECTORS....COLLECTORS.....this is a vintage Slingerland parade snare drum. dated 1956-1959 by the badge, which is a "black and brass" even though it is painted red. it reads "Slingerland" in cursive, "quality drums" and "Chicago ill. USA". the drum I believe may have the original heads on it. the top reads "Slingerland Sound King Parade Batter" the bottom head says nothing on it. the drum has obviously been painted red, the top rim is out of round. it has claw and lugs with what I think is nickel plating. the inside looks good and bearing edge good too. in the last pic you can see some surface finish showing wear in 2 places but does not go into the actual shell. the muffler is original but the stem/screw has been replaced. the knob is original. the shell has holes where the strainer/throw off/ hardware would be and obviously missing the snares. someone turned this into a field drum/tom. it is 16" across the head and 12" deep. this would be a great project if you like restoring drums!!!
SOLD AS IS AND ONLY SHIPS TO THE USA!
