Here we have a nice looking (besides the tarnish) Frank Holton Sousaphone made in Elkhorn Wis, serial #96599. I suspect this was made in the early 1910's. This is old Marine Corp issue instrument - OOOOO RAH!!!!
This is a E-Flat sousaphone and all valves function well and are in decent/usable condition. All the slides move freely and the water key works/seals fine. The leadpipe bits are missing but I was able to rig something up to play it - it has a good sound and the intonation is nice! Has minor dents thru-out the instrument. Over-all this is sousaphone is in very nice shape for its age!
This is a used instrument and is sold as found, as is - ABSOLUTELY no refunds or returns. What you see is what you get. I am not a musical instrument repairman and give the best description/opinion I can. I recommend that potential bidders come and inspect/assess condition of the item BEFORE you bid.
There is no case or mouthpiece.
