This neat old toy (from 50s or 60s) is called the Junior Zither- from Italy- by Harbert Italiana- Midland, Italy.  Zither is metal with decorative graphic- back is a masonite material.  This does NOT have the pick, tuner, or the extra strings that originally came with it- and 2 strings are missing on the zither. I'm sure these strings can still be purchased and can be 'tuned' with an ordinary pair of pliers or other household tool.   It DOES come with all the original papers, and TEN musical sheets- that slip into the zither for easy playing.  Songs on the sheets are OHI MARI- OH SUSANNA, CARNEVALE DI VENEZLA (The Venice's Carnival) , BRAHMS LULLABY, JINGLE BELLS, NOTTE DI NATALE (Silent Night), SANTA LUCIA, LA PALOMA E LAS CUCARACHA, AULD LANG SYNE, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Orginally purchased from H & S Pogue Co. (Cincinnati, Ohio)  for $6.99.  Size of Zither is 14" X 8".  Box shows some storage wear- but still nice and tight- Great vintage Graphics !!
