In the 1940’s Venice, California Lewis W. Howard founded Triad electronic. A company dedicated to producing the highest grade transformers and electrical components. Over the years Triad transformers have been used in numerous highly regarded hi-fidelity and musical components. Today they are sought out for their amazing sonic attributes and are highly prized remnants of an era of quality long gone.
Triad HS Series Transformers were produced as a result of WWII. It was apparent that standard transformers were not able to withstand the extreme conditions of South Pacific combat areas. Thus the Hermetically Sealed (HS) transformers were born. These transformers were built to a level of quality and durability never seen before, or since. Post war they were used in only the top electronic components and are highly regarded as the finest transformers every produced
The Triad HS-66 is an extraordinarily high-quality matching transformer. Today it is highly prized for its unmatched sonic performance, and serves as the foundation of many home-brewed microphone preamps and low level amplifiers.
